organize the Civil Judge (JD) Examination-2017. For any Competition Exam syllabus is

Examination contains three stages of Competitive Examination Like…….
I - Preliminary Examination (Objective and Multiple
Choice Type)
II Main Examination (Written Conventional Type )
III Viva voice (Personality Test).
For
Preliminary Written Examination
Exam Pattern :-
The Question Papers in Written contest will be consisted
Of multiple choice objective type Questions.
There will be two composite papers in Prelims written
exam Like Paper I & Paper II.
The Paper-I will contain total 150 marks and
Paper-II 300 Marks.
The total duration will be 02:00 hours ( 120
Minutes ).
Exam Syllabus :-
Paper -I
General Knowledge
:- The Questions will be asked from the following aspects like Current National Issues and topics of Social
relevance, India and the world, Indian Economy, International Affairs and
Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology, History of
India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, Communications and
Space.
PAPER-II
LAW
:- This paper will include day to day happenings around India and the world,
particularly in Legal spheres, Acts and laws.
(i) Jurisprudence
(ii) International Organizations
(iii) Current International Affairs
(iv) Indian Constitution
(v) Transfer of Property Act
(vi) Indian Evidence Act
(vii) Indian Penal Code
(viii) Civil Procedure Code
(ix) Criminal Procedure Code
(x) Law of Contract

Exam Pattern :-
There will be
descriptive Type Questions in the written exam.
There will be
following five papers :

Paper-V Penal, Revenue and Local Laws 200
Exam Syllabus :-
Paper I
:-
General Knowledge:- The
Questions will be asked from the following aspects like Current National Issues
and topics of Social relevance, India and the World, Indian Economy, History of
India and Indian Culture, Geography of India, Indian Polity, International
Affairs and Institutions and development in the field of Science and Technology
Communications and Space.
Paper II
:-
Language:
(I) Essay to
be written in English – 60 marks
(II) English PrĂ©cis writing – 60 marks
(III) Translation of passage from Hindi to English – 40 marks
(IV) Translation of passage from English to Hindi – 40 marks
Paper III :-
Law-I (Substantive Law)
:- The Questions will be asked from the following aspects like specifically
applicable thereto, the law concerning easements and torts, the Law relating to
transfer of property including the principles of equity, the principal of
Equity with special reference to the Law of trust and specific relief, The law
of contracts, the law of Partnership, Hindu Law and Mohammedan Law, and
Constitutional Law. There shall be questions of 50 marks in relation
to Constitutional Law alone.
Paper IV :-
Law-II (Procedure and Evidence):- The
Questions will be asked from the following aspects like - the Criminal Procedure Code and Code of Civil Procedure, including the
principles of pleading, the law of evidence. the Criminal Procedure Code and
Code of Civil Procedure, including the principles of pleading. framing of
charges and issues the methods of dealing with the evidence of witnesses the
writing of judgment and the conduct of cases generally but will not be
restricted to them.
Paper V :-
Law-III (Penal, Revenue and Local
Laws) :- The Questions will be asked from the
following aspects like Uttar Pradesh, Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting,
Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972, Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, U.P.
Panchayat Raj Act, U.P., Indian Penal Code, the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari
Abolition and Land reforms Act 1951, Consolidation of Holding Act, 1953, Uttar
Pradesh Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, together with rules framed
under the aforesaid Acts. Answer to the questions of Local Laws will be compulsory.
Questions pertaining to Penal Law will be of 50 marks,
whereas, that of Revenue and Local Laws will be of 150 marks.
The candidates will have a choice to answer General
Knowledge and Law papers either in Hindi or in English.
Personal Interview:- There
will be of 100 marks interview for the Mains Exam Shortlisted Candidates.
The suitability of candidates for employment in the Uttar Pradesh Judicial
Service will be tested with reference to his merit giving due regard to his ability character,
personality and physique.
