The process of electronically filing Income tax returns through the internet is known as eFiling Any assessee having total income of ? 10 Lakhs and above for from AY 2017-18 and subsequent Assessment Years. Ø Individual/ HUF, being resident, having assets located outside India from AY 2016-17 and subsequent Assessment Years. Ø An assessee required to furnish a report of audit specified under sections 10(23C)(iv), 10(23C)(v),10(23C)(vi) ,10(23C)(via) , 10A, 12A(1)(b), 44AB, 80-IA, 80-IB, 80-IC, 80-ID, 80JJAA, 80LA, 92E or 115JB of the Act, shall furnish the said report of audit and the return of Income electronically from AY 2016-17 and subsequent Assessment Years. Methods to E Filing Online your ITR

0   You need not no downloading the ITS ( Income Tax Software) and normally by filling all the details online on Income Tax India Portal by these following easy stpes

01-   Go to Income Tax India Official Website www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

02-    Register yourself on the website. Your Permanent Account Number (PAN) will be your user ID

03-   Click on E-File – ITR(Income Tax Return) – Prepare – Submit Online’

04-   Choose the Income Tax Return Form ITR 1/ITR 4S and the Financial (Assessment) Year

05-   Fill in all the information, click the SUBMIT button

06-   On successful submission, Acknowledgement detail is displayed. Click on the link to view or generate a printout of Acknowledgement/ITR-V Form.

Steps to E-File Your ITR Offline Using Java or Excel Utiliy

01-   First of all download the ITR Form which related to you – ( Java Utility or Excel Utility )

02-   Fill this form Offline Using software

03-   Change the type of File in XML format and save this file on Desktop

04-    Now Go to Income Tax India Official Website www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and Register on it using PAN (Permanent Account Number) Number

05-   Now Login into the portal using User ID and Password

06-   Choose E-file-ITR(Income Tax Return) – Upload Return

Steps to Download Income Tax Return (ITR) Software Utility

01-   Go to Official website incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

02-   Go to Download Tab

03-   Click on Income Tax Return Forms

04-   Now decide the category Either Java Utility or Excel Utility

05-   Click on Download button of Your Category

06-   Now Your Off Line Software is Ready for Use

  Note :- Please Enable macros to be able to use the excel utility. To enable your macros, please follow these steps (Steps May change with Versions of Excel)

Select Tools – Macros – Security and Select Low/Medium. Restart Excel if Prompted to enable macrs , select yes and then open the utility
