The Primary and Upper Primary  Schools were handled by UP State Basic Education Department from the year 1972. The Department do the following Work :Establishing Schools,Give Authority to Schools,Appointment of teachers,Employee Service Related All Work,At present there are 100000 Primary education and around 35000 upper primary schools are handled by UP Basic Education department. Around 300000 teachers are working in these schools.
