The UPSC IFS Exam consists of two papers which are described
below.
Paper-I: - Preliminary Examination: - To eliminate
non-serious candidates from competition.
Preliminary exam consist of two compulsory papers of 200 marks
each.
Both Papers consist of objective type questions.
Each paper will be of 2 hours.
1/3 marks will be deducted of each wrong answer.
Question papers will consist questions related to English
Language Comprehension skill of class X level well be tested through passages
from English language only without providing high translation thereof in the
question paper.
Paper-II: - Main Exam: - To select eligible candidates for
personal interview.
