About VNIT
:- Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur is one of the thirty
National Institutes of Technology in the country. The Govt. of India conferred
on the Institute, the Deemed to be University status (under University Grants
Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)) with effect from 26th June 2002.
Subsequently, the Central Govt. by Act of Parliament (National Institutes of
Technology Act, 2007 (29 of 2007)) declared VNIT Nagpur as an Institute of
National Importance along with all other NITs. The Act was brought into force
from 15th August 2007.
VNIT Courses
:- Every year candidates get the
doctorate degree from this institute and make their carrier in any of the
department mention here. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics &
Communication, Centre of VLSI & Nano Technology, Computer Science,
Chemical, Metallurgical & Materials, Mining, Applied Mechanics,
Architecture & Planning Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities.
The Candidates who are qualified & have cleared the
Gate / Net exam and have a five years of experience in the relevant field can
applicable for the post. The Candidates are willing to get the application
form to take admission in this organization. All the Candidates who want
to take admission in the college must be eligible for the mentioned courses.

Educational Qualifications
:- The candidates desirous of seeking admissions for Ph.D. program under the
above scheme should meet the following requirements:
1. Candidate should posses M.E. / M. Tech. / M.Arch.
/ M.Plan. / M.Sc. degree having qualified GATE / NET exam in past and he/she
should have minimum Five years experience in Industry.
2. VNIT committee shall examine the research
facilities in research laboratory in which the candidate is employed where the
candidate wishes to carry out part of his Ph.D. research. In case the committee
report is favourable and suitable co-supervision (as certified by the
committee) is available in the candidate’s parent organization where the
candidate proposes to carry out research, VNIT may exempt the stay requirement
on campus on case to case basis. For Other Courses please see the official
