Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is going to conduct a Preliminary & Mains Written Examination for the vacant positions of Junior Administrative Assistant. In this current age the  Competition Level Exam has become very tough. The Candidates are too anxious about the preparations The Authority has announced the Syllabus & Exam Pattern For the participants. As the Preparations according to Syllabus makes easy to face the Competition. Now the Candidates are confused about the preparations that  “What to Study” and “How to make Selection Like Scores” in the Competition Exams.

Here Under the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern for the posts Jr. Administrative Assistant Written Exam is described.

Selection Procedure :- There will be Four phases of the exams to be selected as JAA :-

(1) Preliminary Screening Test – 100 Marks
(2) Written Examination – 300 Marks
(3) Computer Practical – 50 Marks
(4) Viva-Voice – 50 Marks

Preliminary Screening Test

Exam Pattern :- The Candidates should note the following Exam Pattern For the Pre Exam…..

The Preliminary contest will be held OCR/OMR based.

The Question Paper Will contain Objective type Multiple Choice Questions.

The  General Knowledge and General English of Degree standard will be included as One Paper.

The paper will contain total 100 Marks & questions also 100 nos. i.e. each question will be of 1 mark.

The  total duration for the contest will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).

I. English Grammar :- The Questions will be asked in Question Papers from  Composition, Correct Sentence, use of Verb, use of tense, appropriate, preposition, prefix & suffix, antonyms, synonyms, word & meaning.

II. Current Affairs :- The Questions will be asked in Question Papers from the current national & international events.

III History and Culture of India & Assam

IV. Geography of Assam

V Information Technology

VI Flora and fauna of Assam

VII Independence Movement in Assam

VIII Constitution of India

IX Economic Development of India & Assam

Main Written Examination Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2015

Exam Pattern :-

The Question Papers in examination will be conventional type i.e. descriptive type.
There will be following papers in examinations.

Exam Syllabus 2015 :-

General English : The Questions will be asked in Question Papers from Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles, Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, etc., comprehension, Proficiency in the language.

General Knowledge :-  The Questions will be asked in Question Papers from the current activities in the national level or International level, surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as essential knowledge. Current affairs about India and its adjacent countries too. Current Events, History of Assam, Independence Movement Constitution of India, Indian Economy, Scientific Progress / Development, National / International Awards, Indian Languages.

Quantitative Aptitude :- The questions will be asked from general mathematics of 10th Standard involving number systems, equations in two variables, simple and compound interest, perimeter area and volume of geometrical figures, Direct and inverse proportions, Pythagoras theorem and trigonometry.

Elementary Knowledge on Computer :- The Question will be asked from computer basic, input, output, memory, Software, BIOS, Internet, MS word, MS excel, Computer Shortcuts, Computer Architecture, Computer Abbreviations etc.
