Appliers for Staff Selection Commission CGL Tier I are informed that Syllabus
2016 for mentioned exam has been uploaded for CGL Tier I Exam 2016. The
Schedule for Exam will be from 27 August & Closing Date Will be
Mentioned Soon. The Aspirants may Download Syllabus2016.

As always the Staff Selection Commission is going to manage
the exams named Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2016 Tier
I for recruiting as various posts. SSC CGL is the Exam which is
held every Year. SSC will hold the Tier I Exam in August 2016.
The Examination will comprise of two Tiers of Written Objective Type examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Interview/Skill test, wherever applicable as per the Scheme of Examination. Posts have been placed in two groups, inter-alia, based on their Grade Pay and papers in Tier II examination/Interview.

The Commission reserves the right
to make changes in the scheme of
examination such as conduct of Tier – I and Tier – II examination
in on – line mode, treating Tier – I examination as only qualifying an d not
conducting personality test cum interview for some or all posts etc.
The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated
below :

-II — Written Examination (Computer Based)

-III — Descriptive Test (Pen and Paper Mode)
§ Tier -IV
— Data Entry Skill Test(DEST)/Computer Proficiency Test(CPT) (wherever

Tier I Exam Pattern :- It
is an objective Type Online Exam. Interesting fact about CGL is that

There are 100 questions consisting of 200 Marks.
§ Time
Duration is 75 minutes (1:15 hours) for 100 questions.
§ There
will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
in Tier-I Exam.
