(PNB) is going to organize an Screening Test Or Online written test for
recruiting to the posts of Specialist Officers. Now this age

Panjab National Bank (PNB).
Exam Pattern :- The
Online Written exam will be of total marks is 200 marks. Exam Pattern
is as Under:-
1. The Examination Period will be of 2
(two) Hours or 120 minutes.
SELECTION
PROCEDURE :-
Selection will be through on-line test and/or interview. Merely
satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitles a candidate to be called for
Test or Interview. The on-line test shall comprise of the following tests :

The above
tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e.
in English and Hindi.
Other
detailed information regarding the on-line examination will be given in an
Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates for
download along with the call letters from the IBPS/ Bank’s website.
Penalty
for wrong answers :- There
will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Test. For each question
for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of
the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at
corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the
candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
The Exam will be
of objective type and in Hindi and English except for the Test of
English Language.

Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving
Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic

reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
English
Language:- The Questions will be asked from the following Fields like
Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error,
Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.
Quantitative
Aptitude:- The Questions will be asked from the following Fields
Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss,
Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem
On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the
section which have to be focused.
General
Awareness:- The Questions will be asked from the following Fields
Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will
be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important
dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector.
Some questions from Marketing can come in the exam.
