CET Exam Pattern 2018:-
Exam
Period :- Duration
of time for this exam will be 3(Three) hours and will be conducted in a
single section. There will also be an additional 15-minute tutorial prior to
the start of the test.
Exam Session:-This year
entrance exmination will be held online on above mention dates in two sessions.
First session will be morning i.e. 10:00 AM and another one at 3:15 PM
Total No. of
Questions:it consists of 200 Multiple Choices Questions (MCQ), with single
correct response; this is computer based test & conducted in English
language only.
Negative marking:No
negative marking in this assessment prograamme
Syllabus:question based
from subjects taught during the MBBS course including pre-clinical,
para-clinical and clinical will come in this Centralized Entrance Test.
SCHEME OF
EXAMINATION
1.

DNB-CET is an entrance examination and is an essential
pre-requisite for entry to DNB Broad Specialty and Post MBBS Direct 6 years
super specialty courses. The next session of entrance examination shall be
held in July 2018 and conducted as computer-based test only.

The test comprises of 300 multiple choice, single correct
response questions in English language only.
|

Candidates successful in the DNB-CET shall be asked to
participate in a Centralized merit based counseling conducted by National
Board of Examinations for allotment of DNB seats at NBE accredited
Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their merit and candidate
shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution/hospital/medical
college of their choice as per availability at their merit.

The provisional list of National Board of Examinations
accredited institutes where candidates can pursue DNB is available at NBE
website www.natboard.edu.in

The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test
delivered using computer network as per scheme prescribed.

Kindly note that the weightage of MCQ’s is indicative and purely
provisional. NBE reserves its rights to alter /vary /amend the same.

Negative Marking: There shall be no negative marking.
|

Kindly note that the applicant candidates shall appear either in
FORENOON session or in the AFTERNOON session i.e. the DNB-CET comprises of
ONE session/candidate only.

Syllabus: The Syllabus for the test shall comprise of
subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations
issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of
India. An extract of the same is enclosed at Annexure C of the information
bulletin, kindly refer to MCI website www.mciindia.org for complete document.
