Total No. of Seats: 50 (25 seats for Fresher’s & 25 seats for deputed candidates; seats will be distributed among the fresher’s if deputed seats are lying vacant)

Merit list will be prepared based on both Career Marking and Entrance Test marks for fresher’s candidates & for deputed candidates length of service will be considered

Admission Criteria:

A minimum of 45% in aggregate and 55% in the language or 50% in aggregate and 45% in language.

Course Description of 3 Yrs. B.A. (HONS.) IN MEDIA STUDIES

(Mass Communication, Journalism, Audio-Visual Communication)

IMCFTS being an affiliated Institute of the University of Kalyani, follows the B.A. Hons. course structure in Media Studies that has been setout by the University under strict UGC Guidelines. IMCFTS is also a listed non-government Institute under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. 1956. As per the new regulation, the University has directed the Institute to conduct yearly examinations, Part I, Part II and Part III as per UGC Regulation. Apart from elective and compulsory papers the course contains 8 honours papers as under of 100 marks each.
