About TANCET:- TAMILNADU
COMMON ENTRANCE TEST TANCET 2018 (For admission to M.B.A., M.C.A. &
M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan Degree Programmes). The Tamil Nadu Common
Entrance Test is an eligibility examination for studying post graduate courses
like M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., M.B.A. and M.C.A. in colleges of Tamil
Nadu, India. This examination is conducted by Anna University, Chennai.
Educational
Qualification :-
For MBA :- The
Candidates who want to apply for MBA Course must possess from a recognised
Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and with at least 50 % (45 % in
the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree
examination.
(a) 10+2+3 years pattern
(b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern
(c) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm.
(d) (i) 10+2+AMIE* (or) (ii) 10+3 Years
diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.
For MCA :- A
pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with
mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at least 50 % (45 %
in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying
degree examination.

Lateral Entry :- A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree of
minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science / Information
Technology) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained at
least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in
the qualifying degree examination.

/ M.Tech. / M.Arch./M.Plan. :- a). A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case
of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree

B.Pharm. / B.Sc (Agri. / Forestry / Horticulture / Fishery) degree programme.
