Minimum
Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses
The
eligibility criteria for UG course admissions is such that candidates need to
have cleared their Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
However, for PG courses aspirants should have a bachelor’s degree in their
field of study.

Aspirants
need to visit the official website of Delhi University (admission through

Check DU Cut-offs
Admission
in majority of the programmes offered at colleges affiliated to Delhi
University is on the basis of merit wherein the best-of-four percentage is
calculated. Here, candidates can select marks scored by them in any four
subjects in their Class XII exams and thereafter calculate the aggregate
marks/percentage scored by them.
After
calculating their best of four score, aspirants need to check the cut-off lists
released by Delhi University. If they meet the cut-offs released for DU admissions
then they are eligible to secure a seat in the course and college of their
choice.

Candidates
are informed that DU has decided to release only six cut-off lists this year
for admissions. After the six lists are released if seats still remain vacant
in some DU colleges then these colleges are allowed to conduct their own
admission process in order to shortlist aspirants for admission to fill the vacant
seats.
Select DU College/Course Aspirants
who meet DU cut-offs for a particular college/course then need to login to DU
admission portal and select the course/college in which they want to take
admission.
Verify Documents at College
Next,
applicants need to take a printout of their DU application form and carry the
list of documents for DU admissions to the respective DU college for
verification of certificates/mark sheet.
Approval of Admission
Candidates
are informed that DU colleges will retain certificates submitted by approved
applicants. This is done to avoid cases of multiple admissions. However, after
the admission process is over, DU colleges will return the certificates/mark
sheets if any student cancels or withdraws admission. The documents will also
be returned if a student wants to appear for the counselings round conducted for
admission by any other college/institute/university.
Payment of DU Admission Fee Online
Once
an aspirant completes all the above mentioned steps, he/she need to login to
the DU admission portal for UG programmers and pay the DU admission fee online.
"The approved applicant is permitted to make online admission fee payment
till 12 noon of the next day of the given admission list deadline", informs
DU's official website.
Note:
It may be noted that admission in MBA courses offered at Faculty of Management
Studies (FMS), DU is done on the basis of CAT scores followed by a Personal
Interview (PI) round and an extempore speech (if applicable).
Admission
through Entrance Exam
Merit
is not the only means through which students can secure admission in courses
offered at DU. This is because the varsity conducts Delhi University Entrance
Test (DUET) to shortlist aspirants for admission in certain UG as well as PG
courses.
For
courses in which entrance tests are conducted, aspirants need to first meet the
minimum eligibility criteria and thereafter appear for a written entrance exam.
