Selection procedure Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Shortlisting of all jobs (except Steno-Typist) will be based on written Exam only. For the jobs of  Steno-Typist, the qualifying Opponent (10 times of the number of posts as per merit in the written exam subject to achievement of the qualifying scores) shall have to participate in the stenography Exam on the declared speed as announced at S. No. 11, i.e., Selection Eligibility for the post.

There will be no interview for any of the above posts.

The question paper will be only in English except the questions on languages.

Content and Tentative Number of Questions in Written Exam (For all Jobs except Steno typist, Peon & Peon-cum-Chowkidar.)

Written Exam will have 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers, each obtaining one mark, as per descriptions mentioned below:-

1. Language Proficiency (Punjabi - 10 questions + English -10 questions) -20 questions

2. General Knowledge / awareness - 10 questions

3. Mathematical Skill(Matric level) - 10 questions

4. Mental Ability/ IQ determination - 10 questions

5. Computer Fundamentals - 10 questions

6. As per prescribed qualifications for job related - 40 questions

Content and tentative Number of Questions in Written Test for post of Steno typist Written Test will have 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers, each carrying one mark, as per details below:-

1. English language - 25 questions

2. Punjabi language - 25 questions

3. General Knowledge / awareness - 15 questions

4. Mental Ability - 15 questions

5. Computer Fundamentals - 20 questions

Content and tentative Number of Questions in Written Test for post of Peon & Peoncum-Chowkidar Written Test will have 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers, each carrying one mark, as per details below:-

1. Language proficiency (Punjabi) - 35 questions

2. General Knowledge / awareness - 30 questions

3. Mathematical skill & Mental Ability - 35 questions

Qualifying Scores:- Minimum qualifying marks for Aspirants related to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes shall be 30% (Thirty percent) and for Applicants of General and other Class shall be 35% (Thirty Five percent) of total scores of the written Exam. There will be no negative Scoring.
