Guru Nanak
Dev University was established at Amritsar, India on November 24, 1969 to
commemorate Guru Nanak Dev’s birth quincentenaries’ celebrations. G.N.D.U. It
is University of Grants Commission UGC affiliated which is a public university
which provides the quality education in various courses which includes B.Com,
BA, MCA, MBA, BA LLB, M.Sc. Etc. It also provides the Hostel facility with the Library
facility to provide the students overall facilities. GNDU is both a residential
and an affiliating University. In conceiving the future course of the
University. The University has won Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy seventeen
times and inter-varsity youth festival championship four times consecutively.
UGC has granted the University Centre for Excellence in Sport Science.
GNDU is one
of the major universities in the Punjab state having more than thousands of
students associated with it.
