IPMAT Syllabus 2017 :-
The Appliers for IPMAT are informed that they must know about the exam pattern
& Syllabus for the exam which is going to be held on 14th May
2017. Hall Ticket or Admit Card 2017 for Integrated Program in Management
Aptitude Test (IPMAT) which is organized by Institute of Management-Indore may
download IPMAT Admit Card 2017 before 10 or 20 days of Examination i.e on
or after 24th April 2017.

Exam Pattern 2017 :-
The Exam Pattern For The IPMAT Test will be as under:-
1. The Question Paper will contain Objective type
questions with multiple choices.
2. The Aspirants will use the pencil only for the
exam.
3. The Whole Exam will be of 400 marks in total.
4. The Question paper will consist of 100 questions
each question will be of 4 marks.
5. Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability both the
section are compulsory
6. Total Duration for this exam will be of 2
hours.
7. There Will be Negative Marking for each wrong
reply i.e 1 mark will be reduced for each wrong answer.
IPMAT Syllabus 2017 :-
Course Structure :-
The Programme would consist of 15 terms spread over a period of 5
years with each year having 3 terms of 3 months each. The broad design of the
Programme would include education in Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and
Humanities and Social Sciences setting. Accordingly, 40% of the Programme would
focus on subjects related to the following areas:
Mathematics, Statistics, Logic and Computer Science.
Introduction to Literature: Indo-Anglian, British and American
Introduction to Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Political
Science, Geology, and Geography
Civilization and History (both India and World)
Exposure to Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and
Botany
Exposure to Languages: (at least one foreign language and one
Indian language)
Exposure to Performing Arts and Fine Arts
Soft skills:
Leadership Development, Personality Development, Team work and Communication
Second Module would consist of all functional areas of management
like Accounting, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Decision Sciences,
Operations Management, Marketing, Economics, Information Technology,
Communication, Legal Aspects of Business, Ethics, Corporate Governance,
Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Strategy, International Business and
Entrepreneurship. This would account for the next 50% of the course design. In
this module, IPM students will do the PGP courses along with the 2 - year PGP
students of the institute.
The remaining 10% of the Programme would focus on international
exposure and internships in various social organizations in India.
Faculty Resources
Faculty are drawn from various sources which include faculty
members of IIM Indore, resource persons/visiting faculties from renowned
colleges/institutes, industry experts and retired faculty members from Indian
universities.
Student Activities
Apart from academic programmes, the IPM students are exposed to
various extra-curricular activities in order to inculcate in them leadership
qualities and managerial skills.
Note: A Study Centre as well as an Examination Centre of
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been opened at IIM Indore.
