Indian Air
Force is going to conduct AFCAT 2018 exam in the month of February 2018. AFCAT
2018 Notification are available on the official website.
This test is conducted for finding those candidates who want to make a career
in the air force of India. The online application form filling
process for Indian Air Force AFCAT started Now and end up on 31st Jan 2018.
The exam occurs in the month of February.
Online applications are invited for the
courses commencing in January 2019 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC)
in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC)
in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) Branches. Online applications are
also invited for grant of PC/SSC for Flying Branch through NCC Special Entry
Scheme and Meteorology Entry.
Applications are invited from Male and
Female from Indian Citizens as per Citizenship Act 1955 for the following
courses commencing in July 2018 for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying
Branch and Permanent / Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty
Branches.

Indian Air

Notification 2018 for AFCAT 01 are now available on the official website. The
Exam is being held for searching the efficient & talented candidates who
want to make a career in air force of India. The online application
form filling process for Indian Air Force AFCAT 01 will start from the
month of 16th Dec 2018 and will end up on month of 23 Jan 2018. The exam will be held in February 2018.

Description for AFCAT I Exam 2018
Name Of
Posts :- Commissioned Officers in Flying, Ground Duty and
Technical Branches of Indian Air Force
Educational
Qualification:- Graduation (B.E. / B.Tech. for Flying / Technical branches).
However the qualification differs for different posts. Also there are some
height metrics.
Flying Branch:-
Education
Qualification: – Graduation Degree minimum 3 years in any discipline
subject with minimum 60% marks and have Pass 10+2 class Math & Physics.
Technical
Branch:-
Education
Qualification:- Bachelor of Engineering and B.Tech in relevant discipline
of Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
Age
Criteria :- The Aspirants should be not below than 20 years and not
more than 26 Years as on 01-01 -2018.
Ground Duty
Branch :-
Education
Qualification :– Graduation degree Minimum 3 years in any
equivalent discipline subject along minimum 60% marks for Administration
&Logistics posts. Bachelor of Commerce with minimum 60% marks and
Post-Graduation degree in Commerce for the post of Accounts.
Pay and
Allowances:-
For Flying
Officers :- will be entitled to Pay in Pay Band of ` 15,600
- 39,100 per month along with Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, Dearness
Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance, Transport Allowance. In addition, other
allowances are applicable based on nature of duty / place of posting and would
include Flying Allowance, Technical Allowance, Field Area Allowance, Special
Compensatory (Hill area) Allowance, Special Force Allowance, Siachin Allowance,
Island Special Duty Allowance, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer Allowance,
Hard Area Allowance and Remote Locality Allowance. On successful completion of
Training, the newly Commissioned Flying Officers would be entitled to
approximate gross monthly emoluments in different branches including Transport
Allowance of major cities as follows:-
Salary of IAF Officers –
Flying
branch- Rs. 74264
Technical
branch -Rs 65514
Ground Duty
Branches – Rs 63014
Benefits:- In
addition to the Pay & Allowances, Officers are entitled to Furnished
Accommodation, Comprehensive Medical Cover for self and dependants, Leave
Travel Concession, Leave (60 days Annual and 20 days Casual) subject to service
exigency, supply of entitled rations, canteen & Officers’Mess facilities
and many more.
Insurance: - ` 50
Lakh Insurance Cover (on contribution) is applicable to serving officers.
Additional cover of ` 10 Lakh (on contribution) is applicable to Flying Branch
Officers.

It means, they do not need to pay application fee 250.
